The éclair NPR (Noiseless Portable Reflex, formerly “ECLAIR 16”) is a 16mm film camera originally manufactured in the early 1960s and is the first of its kind. By the standards of the time, the NPR was a small, quiet camera that enabled recordings with synchronized sound.

NPR helped revolutionize the art of filmmaking with various technical innovations.

Considered a key player in the French New Wave genre, the NPR allowed independent filmmakers to make films outside the confines of a major studio.
