The camera is converted to Super16 (1.66:1 ratio) or Ultra16 (1.85:1 ratio) film format.
An ARRI PL mount was attached to the camera like ARRI, Aaton, Red, Blackmagic, Canon, Sony and others lenses for PL mount.

The "Ultra-16" format is a production format and differs from "Super-16" in the symmetrical arrangement of the frame to the film. In this case, the corners of the exposed area partially enter the perforation. The usable area of ​​the frame with an aspect ratio of 1.85:1 occupies the entire height between the perforations and is 11.8×6.25mm. It can be used to optically print redeemed film copies as well as to obtain high definition video in 16:9 format.

Kranosgorsk works in all conditions, in cold, heat, rain and dust. This good camera for travel, expeditions, and in a war zone.
The supplied zoom lens is of extremely high quality and is sufficient for almost any recording situation. Any Pentax screw mount lens will work on the K-3, so you can use any 35mm SLR lens on your K-3.

The K-3 has been adopted by many film schools, including the University of Southern California's School of Cinema and Television. It has a semi-automatic diaphragm setting.
