Rubin-1 37-80mm f/2.8 is a fast standard coated zoom lens for 35mm SLR cameras. 
With an adapter it can also be used with mirrorless system cameras.



The lens has been converted  for M42 SLR cameras.

Condition is good. There is a small scratch on the front lens. Has no effect on the quality of the images.

Excellent sharpness at closed aperture.
Good color rendering without distortion.
Very good at shooting genre scenes in black and white photography.


The Rubin-1 is a zoom lens based on the Voigtländer Zoomar formula.

The maximum aperture is f/2.8 and it has a focal length range of 37mm to 80mm. The Rubyn-1 has 14 elements in 11 groups. It's the standard lens that comes with the Zenit 6 camera.
Coated optics, optical image plane shift compensation.The lens was created on the basis of the circuit design of the Voigtländer Zoomar 2.8/36-82 lens, developed in 1959 by Dr. Frank G. Back, USA, and manufactured by Voigtländer (Germany) and Zoomar (USA) 3 ). Rubin-1, unlike the original, the optical scheme was somewhat modified and there was a different design of frames.
