Wide-angle Mir-1 37/2.8 PL mount Soviet lens.
The lens was converted to ARRI PL mount. With the ability to focus to infinity.
It is possible to order this lens with an "anamorphic" insert(oval diaphragm). Which makes the lens an "anamorphake" lens.
You will get the images with anamorphic flare.

*Anamorphake: the lens delivers beautiful blue horizontal flare and oval bokeh while preserving the natural colors of the footage, allowing you to capture low-light and daylight scenes without color grading issues.

Mir-1 is an interchangeable wide-angle fast lens. Equipped with an iris diaphragm with its pre-installation device. Coated optics.

Received in 1958 the Grand Prix at the World Exhibition in Brussels (Expo-58). In 1959, the lens was awarded the Diploma of VDNKh of the USSR.

The optical scheme was calculated by D. Volosov in 1954 under the glass formulations available in the USSR based on the Carl Zeiss Jena Flektogon 35mmf/2.8 lens, produced after the Second World War by the Carl Zeiss factory in Jena. It has a diverging meniscus as the first lens, which significantly reduces vignetting when shooting wide open.

It was recommended for all types of filming. It was noted that it is especially valuable when shooting, requiring special sharpness of all image details.

The lens really produces a fairly sharp picture. At the same time, the “volume” of the image is well preserved.
